PG&E's Home Energy Check-up

If you have an on-line account, fill out the Home Energy Checkup on PG&E’s website: it is quick and free.  You get a personalized snapshot of your energy use, a list of tailored savings opportunities, and info on rebates and other incentives to help make upgrades more affordable.

The results are not as complete and detailed as the other assessments below, but you will receive estimates of how your home’s energy use breaks down by category: heating, cooling, water heating, lighting, appliances, electronics.
