On Sun Day communities around the US will take action to continue the momentum and impact that renewable energy is having in the fight against climate change. (https://thirdact.org/sun-day)
Local festivities will commence at the Madelyn Helling Library at 2 pm on Sunday, September 21. The event will feature speakers on Solar Energy and on Habitat for Humanity’s first Green community. In addition, EVs will be on hand to shuttle attendees to area homes that feature recent energy improvements such as the installation of induction stoves, heat pumps, solar panels and battery back-up systems.
It will be a day of coming together to rally and to understand the work required to meet milestones set for 2030. Specifically the deployment, manufacturing, technology, policy and continued investment in renewable energy sources needs to continue at a rapid pace.
