POWER DURING OUTAGES ?
Power outages are more common here, due to the occasional mix of high winds, high temperatures, and dry conditions. What can you do to help get through these? Usually there is a day or two to prepare for living briefly without power, however the only options for safe power during an outage are batteries or a generator. There are small battery packs and generators that can be plugged into during outages, but keep in mind that if you're interested in larger whole-home back-up power systems, they should always be installed by a licensed contractor with a permit. Note: The county has experienced several house fires during outages, due to dangerous unpermitted generator installations.
