SERi is committed to building community and strengthening resolve as we face a changing climate. There are several local organizations focused on solutions.

Energy Savings in Schools

Local schools are organizing and executing student run programs to reduce waste on their campuses.

The June 2026 ballot measure for repairing and upgrading our local elementary and middle schools including installing solar panels, and providing backup battery power and generators passed!​

Nevada County faces immediate and long-term impacts from a changing climate. We recognize the opportunity to address climate resilience as a priority objective to mitigate risk to our community
